Project 100,000

Ever wonder why Muhammad Ali (aka Cassius Clay) was called twice to muster, once in ’64 when he was rejected, (then reclassified as 1-A in ’66,) and then recalled in ‘67? The answer lies in Project 100,000. At the time of the Ali controversy, Americans were unaware of the government’s actions because the ‘project’ had been buried as ‘top secret’ and did not become common knowledge until after the ‘Pentagon Papers’ were revealed.
